This product information refers to castors and wheels, which are used on non-powered equipment at a speed not exceeding walking pace and not being under continuous motion.
The wheels will give a long and trouble-free life if the following points are adhered to; a) Correct and secure fitting at the design position b) The fixing position must have adequate strength and material for secure fixing c) The function of the castor must not be changed nor affected by the fixing d) The swivel action axle must be vertical at all times e) Rigid castors must have their wheel axles in alignment f) If all swivel castors are used, then they must be common to each other g) If rigid castors are used in conjunction with swivel castor then all castors must be compatible and as recommended by the manufacturer. Where castors are used in areas of : Outdoors Coastal areas Corrosive and/or aggressive areas Special products have to be specified.
For use in temperature below 5ºC and above 30 ºC the efficiency of the castor can be impaired.Particularly the normal load capacity as published can be affected when used in temperatures below/above those stated herein. Special products can be specified.
Component parts are assembled into a complete castor. The manufacturer is only liable for the original component parts making the complete castor.
When selecting a castor it is necessary to consider all aspects of the symbol chart as published.
Misuse, i.e. utilization of wheels and castors for purposes other than specified as intended use is for example if:
a) Wheels and castors are used with higher load capacities than those specified in the catalogue. b) The objects are used on unsuitable, uneven floors. c) The ambient temperatures are too high or too low. d) The objects are moved by force with the wheels locked. e) The objects are exposed to particularly aggressive substances. f) The objects are subjected to improper rough impact and shock loads. g) Foreign matter may intrude into the tyres. h) Wheels and castors are used at excessive speeds. i) Modifications not approved by the manufacturer.
3.0 Product Specifications
Where no product specifications are contained in our catalogues, brochures, specification sheets, etc., the requirements placed upon our wheels and castors and the components thereof must be agreed with us.

The manufacturer of the equipment has to refer to the Product Information, copies of this Product Information can be ordered from the castor manufacturer for distribution to the end user.
SIMPLE GUIDE To The "Don't s" Of Castor Usage
Follow the load capacity listed in this catalogue
Make sure the loads in the center of trolley
No shock loads, curbs
No uneven floors
Operate attachments on even floors
No side forces to rigid castor
Make sure the castor is used for right purpose
